The Sacral chakra represents unconscious emotion or desire. This energy center of the body is about creativity, sociability, one's emotional life, and sexuality. Sex is a profound source of creativity, joy and pleasure that is nurturing and bonding. Many religions consider sex sinful, which can create a source of guilt, fear and shame. When the energy in this area is balanced, the person will probably have a positive attitude toward basic love. The second chakra center is the position from which one reaches out, expands and relates to others. Located at the genitals, this chakra monitors sexuality and reproduction. Symbolised by a lotus with six petals.
Physical function: Sacral chakra is associated with reproductive organs, the stomach and colon.It is considered to correspond to the testicles or the ovaries that produce the various sex hormones involved in the reproductive cycle which may cause dramatic mood swings.Reproductive organs are effected from menstrual cycle problems, cancers in this area, to impotency. Pelvic & lower back pains, urinary and bladder problems, hips.
